When you turn an animated helmet into a real physical piece, the hardest part is balance. Make it too realistic, and it starts drifting away from the screen version. Copy the animation too literally, and the helmet can feel flat in real life. Crosshair from The Bad Batch is exactly that kind of case. So we tried a different approach and made a remastered version with stronger contrast, cleaner color separation, and sharper painted details.
What Changed
The remastered version has stronger overall contrast. We darkened several key areas, which makes the helmet read closer to the animated Crosshair look and feel less flat.
The face shield, dome, back section, side ear panel, and rangefinder were repainted in a dark graphite-gray finish.
To finish the remaster, we added weathering along the helmet ribs and around the painted nose area. The result is still clearly Crosshair, but with a cleaner read and stronger contrast.
