The Darth Revan Armor project has made significant progress recently: we’ve completed the press molds, produced the first formed and cast armor parts, adjusted the patterns, and started working on the attachment system.
Press molds are ready
In the previous update, we showed the printed negatives used as the basis for the press molds. That stage is now complete: the molds are ready and can be used to produce the main armor parts.
First armor parts are ready
With the press molds complete, we moved on to armor production. Some parts were formed, while the highly detailed elements were cast.
Armor parts refined
After forming and casting, we manually finished the armor parts: trimmed excess material, worked on the edges and surfaces, removed minor production imperfections, and prepared the parts for the next stages.
Attachment prototypes made
We made the first attachment prototypes for the armor parts. At this stage, the goal is to determine how to secure the parts in the correct position while keeping the costume easy to put on.
Patterns adjusted
After the previous fitting, we identified the changes needed for the fabric and leather parts of the costume and updated the patterns.
Moved to painting
The first complete costume has now moved to the painting stage.
