Here’s a quick look at what’s currently in progress across our helmet and armor projects.
Grapple Pilot Helmet - Titanfall 2
The main helmet components have been assembled.
We’re currently fitting the remaining parts and adjusting their mounting areas. Some elements did not align properly and have been sent back for remodeling.
We also tested different mesh options for the crown of the helmet. We decided to use real mesh for mold production, while the final helmets will feature a cast version of the mesh detail.
Next week, we plan to revise the part models and reprint them.
We’ll also finalize which elements will be removable and which will be fixed, and begin preparing the helmet for outer shell production.
Pulse Blade Pilot Armor - Titanfall 2
Final model adjustments are currently in progress.
To address the issue of the minimum 44.5-inch (113 cm) waist requirement caused by the necessary belt equipment placement, we’ve proposed the following solution:
we’ll make several magazine pouches removable. This will allow the remaining elements to fit on belts smaller than 44.5 inches while maintaining canon-accurate proportions.
Planned for this week: finalize the part models and start final printing for mold production.
DP-40 Herd of the Federation Helmet - Helldivers 2
Cast copies of the formed visor have been produced.
Helmet repainting is in progress, along with development of the press mold for visor forming.
Sforza Helmet - ARC Raiders
The main helmet parts have been prepared for filler application, and some areas have already been filled.
Smaller components are being prepared for printing.
Planned for the week: complete printing of remaining parts and continue finishing the helmet.
Imperial Stormtrooper Armor - Star Wars
Corrected press molds for the lower back and posterior section are being coated.
Air vent channels on the back and shoulder press molds are being finalized.
Mandalorian Armor - Star Wars
The first press forming of the updated bracers and thigh plates has been completed.
After revising the bracer models, larger locking tabs were introduced, which prevented proper demolding under the current process.
We will now test an alternative magnetic attachment system for the bracers, which should allow us to reduce the size of the locking tabs.
